Shaheen supercomputer, named after the Peregrine Falcon, is the largest and most powerful supercomputer in the Middle East, achieving a theoretical peak of 222 Tflop/s. KAUST Supercomputing Laboratory is also targeting petaflop capability within 3 years.
Noor Cluster is based on Intel Xeon (Nehalem) processors, equipped with high-performance, low latency Infiniband interconnect ideal for a stable, high performance resources to run a wide diversity of scientific applications.
