Research Interests

Dr Raghib Shakeel's research interest is focused towards sustainable energy production and utilization. His research focused on experimental and numerical investigation of oxyfuel and air combustion of methane and propane in different gas turbine burners, including dual swirl burners, in order to facilitate CCUS for clean combustion and zero emission gas turbines. He has also worked on hydrogen production using steam reforming of methane and heavy oils such as naphtha.

Dr Shakeel is interested in studying combustion in ICEs using gaseous fuels to reduce emissions and improve efficiency in marine applications.
